All big company is hiring interns, less supply, high demand:-
Nowadays, many corporations hire college students and recent graduates for internships, resulting in an increase in demand for interns relative to supply. However, one element influencing the supply of interns is the unparalleled skills of interns with internships. Along with the growing demand from organizations, the quantity of demanding, competent interns is decreasing. Aside from that, academic and exam pressure is another cause for the scarcity of interns, and perhaps some interns are disgruntled with the benefits offered by internships. Now, let us look at some of the reasons behind the need for skilled interns in companies.
According to a recent survey, employers agreed that today's Millennials and Genz are digital natives, thus bringing on interns significantly helps their company's staff manage new aspects of digital projects, from media platforms and website design and development on the one hand to advanced marketing digital innovations on the other. Since the interns are new to the organization, they will naturally contribute a fresh perspective and a fresh set of eyes to how the company functions. Interns, for example, may inadvertently stimulate suggestions for improvement during the training process. Furthermore, recruiting interns indirectly helps firms spread the word about the organization because interns are more likely to promote their internship programme within their network.
The primary reason most employers hire interns in newly established startups is that they may one day become future employees. Internship programmes allow firms to test drive and evaluate how well interns perform, how easy they are to train, and, most importantly, how well they will fit into the company culture, rather than relying on recommendations and resumes. Furthermore, by hiring numerous interns at once, they create a screening process that finds the top performers to whom they may offer jobs at the end of their internship.
Companies with established internship programmes typically hire the majority of new grads from those programmes, saving companies time and money on recruitment activities. Even better, studies have shown that former interns have a higher percentage of return than full-time employees. Another factor driving corporate demand for interns is government initiatives, which are a great way to identify new talent at a minimal cost. The Pradhan Mantri Rojgar Protsahan Yojana, for example, tries to incentivize firms to hire students.
Nevertheless, just as the employer is testing their interns, the interns are also testing their employer, so if both sides agree to continue working together at the end of the internship, it's usually a long-term fit.
